Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan has reacted to the speculations linking him with a move to Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.
It was reported in the national press that Ryan is set to take over at United should David De Gea leave at the end of the season.
It is no longer news that the Spanish goalkeeper is keen on leaving Manchester United at the end of the season but might be kept against his wish for another year with his owners ready to activate a clause in his contract.
However, Ryan, who joined the Seagulls from Valencia in the summer of 2017, is under contract with Brighton until 2022 and dismissed the claims that he is ready to join the Old Trafford team.
According to Ryan, he is happy at the club and would not seek a move away until he sees out his contract with the club.
He made it clear that all the reports in the newspapers have been mere rumours, stressing that he will demand a move but that will only happen in some years coming.
Meanwhile, the stance at the Old Trafford is unclear concerning the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper with fans expecting that he lured to extend his stay.
