Napoli star player Marek Hamsik has been with the Italian club for over 10 years now, but it appears the player won’t mind embracing bigger challenges elsewhere before he quit the pitch.
The Slovakian talisman has admitted that if a chance to join premier league heavyweights Manchester United appeared, he’d have a big decision on his hands.
Hamsik discussed his future plans with German news outlet Kicker, where he confessed that a move to a club like Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United would definitely tempt him.
When asked if a move to a side like Man Utd or Spanish heavyweights Barcelona would tempt him, the player replied:
“That is hard to say. It would surely be the hardest decision [of] my career.”
The 30-year-old has gone from strength to strength with his current club, and over the last few years has made himself one of the most important members at Napoli, and one of the best players currently in Italy.
Marek was particularly impressive under Maurizio Sarri last term, and played a big role in the club’s ability to become one of the most attractive footballing teams in the whole of Europe.
Man Utd are understood to have been linked with him for many years now, but it appears the Old Trafford club are not too serious bringing him to England. Currently, Jose Mourinho is not in desperate need of midfielders in his squad.
