Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is confident his countryman Davide Zappacosta will settle with his team at Chelsea quickly.
While addressing the media before his side’s trip to Leicester City for their next premier league clash after the international break, the Italian tactician is of the opinion that the summer signing will have no issue adapting to his new environment.
Conte reminded the pressmen that both of them have worked together in the Italian national team when he was still the head coach, and Zappacosta knows his style of football very well.
‘For this reason, it is more simple to adapt to our style of football [at Chelsea]’ he said.
Chelsea completed a deadline day deal for Zappacosta for a fee understood to be in the region of £23m, and the talented player will be hoping to make an impression for his new side in the coming weeks.
Conte brought the wing-back into Stamford Bridge to bolster his wide options. The former Juventus manager does not appear too comfortable with Victor Moses not having a competitor in the right wing-back position and he his pleased to have introduced Davide into his side.
The former Torino defender played for his national side during their recent international break and he showed he is in a good physical condition.
