Premier League champions Chelsea have been linked strongly with a switch for impressive attacker Marco Asensio for some season now.
One of the best youngsters in the sport
The playmaker is one of the best youngsters in world football at the moment, but as reported by Spanish outlets, he is becoming more frustrated with his lack of playing time at La Liga champions Real Madrid.
The attacking midfielder has proven in the last two seasons that he is matured and good enough, as shown in some huge impressive performances for Zinedine Zidane’s team.
Asensio frustrated at Real
However, if Spanish publication Diario Gol as cited by the Express are to be believed, the Chelsea target is considering his options as regular playing time continues to be reduced at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It looks like Chelsea want the attacking midfielder at the Bridge at some point, but this might be made difficult or easier by Real Madrid’s interest and intent to sign Belgium international Eden Hazard.
Move could be made difficult
It’s been suggested in the past that the Blues will only negotiate the former Lille forward’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu if Marco Asensio is added in any transfer deal.
However, with the Blues understandably keen on keeping Eden Hazard, a pursuit of the Spaniard could be tough.
