Manchester United Transfers: Barcelona Return With £53million Offer For Willian.
There are new reports that La Liga champions Barcelona have submitted a second transfer offer to sign Willian from Chelsea this summer.
The West London side rejected Barca’s initial £50million offer, but it was made known that the Camp Nou club are now back with an improved bid.
Willian, who has been in the news consistently in recent times due to his links with Manchester United, appears destined to play at Camp Nou next season.
United boss Jose Mourinho, having worked with the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge for some time, is keen on reuniting with him at the Theater of Dreams.
However, Barca have stepped up their pursuit to secure Willian’s services, as Sky Sports made it known that the La Liga side have submitted a £52m bid to bring the South American to Spain ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been tracking the player since January, while Barca first made known their interest to Chelsea about three months back and are now at the fore front of getting his signature.
However, Jose Mourinho will hope Willian is interested in coming to Old Trafford, as his wishes may be an important factor in Man United’s efforts to sign him.
The South American is free to make decisions after his World Cup outing was brought to an end by Belgium in Russia.
