Manchester United Could Splash A Huge £264M On This Star Player Signature

Real Madrid star player Mateo Kovacic has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times, and it appears he will definitely leave the Champions League winners this summer.

The talented midfielder has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, and it was made known recently that Real are already seeking for his replacement.

Last week, Mateo expressed his desire to play more often, and he revealed he will try dumping the Bernabeu club this summer.

Kovacic has a £264M release clause in his current contract at Real Madrid and he is meant to stay with the La Liga club till 2021. However, he is keen on leaving the club this summer.

Despite his struggles at Madrid under former manager Zindedine Zidane, various top European clubs are still interested in securing his services.

According to AS, five clubs have made known their interest in signing him this summer – including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Jose Mourinho has already wrapped a deal for Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to replace Michael Carrick who retired at the end of last season.

However, the Portuguese boss is aiming at securing the services of a second midfielder – since Marouane Fellaini is set to depart Old Trafford any moment from now.
