Manchester United returned to winning ways yesterday after beating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park in the premier league.
The three points earned from the clash against the Merseyside club kicked the red devils back to the second position on the premier league table – although Chelsea are yet to play their next premier league game.
And as far as Man United’s transfers are concerned, the red devils have been linked with Inter Milan star player Joao Mario in recent times
In December, there were widespread speculations that the Old Trafford club are ready to send Juan Mata down to San Siro to enable them to get Mario’s signature.
But according to recent reports circulating in the media, Jose Mourinho’s side are set to spend up to £40M to bring the player to Old Trafford this January.
The Sun made it known that the Portuguese tactician wants his countryman in his team once Mkhitaryan leaves Man United. It was also added that Mourinho wants Mario to replace Michael Carrick in the central midfield.
Joao is currently struggling for regular first-team actions at Inter Milan this season and is likely to move to a club he can get more minutes since the World Cup is fast-approaching.
This season so far, he has only started four Serie A games for Inter and has provided five assists to his teammates.
