Mesut Ozil

There is no doubt that Germany international and Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is gradually coming out of his shells to prove the stuff he is made up and the game against Newcastle is evidence of what he has got to offer.

Before now, the Gunners boss Mesut Ozil was never trusted and was relegated to bench roles which raised speculations that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season but the star player has affirmed that he is happy at the Emirates Stadium and will fight for his place in the team.

As a result of his quality performance against Newcastle in the 2-0 win, the fans voted Mesut Ozil as their Man of the Match and manager Unai Emery could not hide his feelings but to sing his praise.

Unai Emery confessed that he liked the way the former Real Madrid star played his game and admitted that the team is being helped by his quality.

According to Whoscored, Mesut Ozil attempted 71 passes completing 63. He, therefore, hints that he could be handed bigger roles when they play subsequent games especially with their Sunday trip to Everton which is another big test for the Unai Emery team.
