According to new reports, Jose Mourinho’s side are set to splash a whopping £60M to bring Jose Gimenaz down to Old Trafford anytime soon.
Sports Mole made it known that the red devils are planning to meet the £60m buyout clause in the contract of the Uruguayan defender at Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United, who beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 in the premier league last Saturday, have been linked with Gimenaz in recent times ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
Though he’s just 22, Jose has evolved into one of the best in Europe and has caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across the continent.
He joined Atletico Madrid from Uruguayan side Danubio back in 2013 for just €900 000, and he has become a player worth £60M.
The Uruguay defender has 37 international caps for his country already. And this season so far at his club, he has scored one goal and provided an assist in 10 appearances in all competitions.
Since making the move to Atletico Madrid four years back, the defender has played 107 times for the club and has scored five goals.
Sports Mole also made it known that Serie A side Juventus are also interested in him, and they could battle Manchester United for his signature when January comes.
