AS Roma star player Radja Nainggolan is one of the players linked with premier league champions Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but nothing happened before the transfer window was slammed shut.
And right now, former Newcastle and West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop is advising Man United boss Jose Mourinho to seal the transfer of the player as an option at wing-back in his team.
The former premier league star suggests the red devils could do with an upgrade on their left-hand side.
Mourinho has been using various formations since the start of this season, and he gave the wing-back system a try when his side clashed with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League this week.
The Portuguese manager played Daley Blind at the left wing-back position during the Champions League game, but Hislop feels Nainggolan could be a better option to play that kind of role at Man United.
The Belgian normally play as a central midfielder at Roma, and has attracted interest from a handful of top European clubs due to his impressive performances at the Italian side.
Although Man United were also recently linked with the player, it doesn’t look like Mourinho will go for him due to his current options in the centre.
But Hislop, speaking to ESPN, said Manchester United have lots of money to bring the Belgium international into Old Trafford to be an upgrade on the left-hand side.
Let’s see if Mourinho will have deep thoughts over this.
