Marouane Fellaini

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been in the news recently regarding his future at Old Trafford.

And in a new development, there are reports that his current side are increasingly confident that he will sign a new contract with them and won’t ditch Old Trafford at the end of this season.

Fellaini is out of contract at the end of the season and the red devils are yet to make a breakthrough in negotiations with him to put pen to paper.

The Belgium international is said to be aware that this will likely be his last big contract before he will retire from playing football, and he is linked with making a move to Turkey.

It is understood that the 30-year-old will be allowed to agree on a pre-contract agreements with any club he desires when January comes, but Manchester United are confident that he will have sign a new deal with them before next year.

Marouane has been impressive at his side this season so far and scored a brace when they trashed Crystal Palace 4-0 in the premier league at Old Trafford last Saturday.

He is currently the Manchester United player with the highest goals after Romelu Lukaku, and has been helped to rediscovered himself by his new Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

Jose himself is keen on seeing the player sign a new contract at Man United, and he recently played down the possibility of Fellaini moving to Turkey.
