Riyad Mahrez

Since Brazilian star player Philippe Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona a few days back, various top players have been linked with a move to Anfield – and one of them is Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.

There were widespread speculations last week that the Merseyside club are close to signing the talented player.

And according to recent reports circulating in England, the Algerian international is in transfer talks with Liverpool, and that terms of a transfer are being negotiated between Jurgen Klopp’s side and the player’s party.

This season so far in the premier league, the 26-year-old has directly contributed to 15 goals for his side, and he remains one of the best players in the English top flight.

Some days back, there were other speculations that Arsenal are ready to do all it takes to sign Riyad, and that his heart is set on moving to North London to play at the Emirates Stadium.

It was even made known that he recently acquired a property in the English capital – which added more fuel to rumours that he is Arsenal bound.

The foxes are currently 8th in the premier league table and are gunning for the Europa League ticket. Would they sell one of their most important members in the middle of the season?

The £40M-rated player has a deal with Leicester meant to expire in 2020, and we can’t wait to see what will become of him before the closure of the ongoing window.
