Italian champions Juventus have failed in a bid to sign one of the most talented young players on the European football scene.
The Italians are one of several clubs keen on a transfer for Benfica forward Joao Felix but they have failed with a big bid according to reports coming out of the media in Portugal.
Joao Felix has been in sensational form for Benfica this season since he broke into the first team last year.
According to Portuguese media portal O Jogo, Juventus have had a £65m (€75m) bid rejected for Joao Felix by Europa League campaigners Benfica.
The Portuguese giants have always maintained that only the £105m (€120m) release clause in the player’s contract will suffice for clubs keen to sign their most prized asset.
Joao Felix signed a new deal earlier this season to boost the transfer figure to the £105m mark.
Apart from Italian champions Juventus, major European clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Chelsea have all registered an interest in Joao Felix.
Liverpool had a £61m bid rejected for the 19-year-old towards the end of last year.
The young Portuguese attacker has scored 14 goals and also provided four assists in 30 games in all competitions for Benfica this season.
