Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has told midfielder Danny Drinkwater that he has no future at the club.

Italian tactician Sarri made this known during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Europa League quarterfinal tie with Czech Republic club Slavia Prague.

Slavia Prague host West London giants Chelsea in the first leg of their Europa League last eight clash in Prague on Thursday night before the second leg meeting scheduled for Stamford Bridge next week.

Maurizio Sarri told reporters that Danny Drinkwater is not adaptable before adding that the player has been told to look for a new club.

The former Napoli and Empoli manager also revealed that Danny Drinkwater had the opportunity to leave the club at the start of the season.

Danny Drinkwater has not played for Chelsea this season in a competitive game.

His last appearance for the Blues in any competition came during the Community Shield against Manchester City in August.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero scored twice to give the Citizens a 2-0 win over the Blues.

Danny Drinkwater is in his second season at the club after signing for Chelsea at the start of last season in a £35m deal.

The England international midfielder played 22 games for the Blues in all competitions last season.
