Eder Militao

FC Porto defender Eder Militao has signed for European champions Real Madrid ahead of other interested clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.

His transfer was announced earlier on Thursday evening and he’s expected to join the Los Merengues at the end of this season.

The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a six-year deal until 2025 in a transfer reported to be around €50m.

Eder Militao would be a fantastic addition to the Real Madrid setup under new manager Zinedine Zidane.

The Brazilian international is the first signing under the Frenchman who returned to the club on Monday just nine months after leaving.

The French football legend has resigned from his post as the Real Madrid last summer shortly after winning a third Champions League title in May.

Real Madrid set a new record for successive Champions League titles by beating Liverpool 3-1 in their final meeting.

Eder Militao is a full Brazilian international that can play either as a defensive midfielder, a centre back or as a right-back.

Zidane is back at Real Madrid after the dismissal of Santiago Solari who led the team to elimination from the three competitions namely the Spanish Copa Del Rey, Spanish La Liga and the Champions League within days.
