Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic maintained his fine goalscoring form against West Brom in a premier league game on Saturday with a brace.
With just over four minutes played, the hugeman scored his first with a header that was put in by Jesse Lingard, and scored his second in the 55th minute. The brace means he now has 12 goals so far this season in the EPL and third in the goalscoring chart. Considering that this is his first term in the EPL, he could be graded above average.
Now at the ripe old age of 35, Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims he’s like red wine and only getting better.
“I’m settling in. I feel happy, I feel good,” he said, per Manchester Evening News. “Even if I’m 35, in my mind I’m 20. I think I could play also at 50, but it won’t be down to me.
“The older I get, the better I get, like red wine! You like red wine? I’m a perfect example of that. The older I get, the better I play.”
Although he has adapted to life in the Premier League with a calm ease, Ibrahimovic insists one thing about playing for Manchester United has surprised him.
“The only thing that surprises me is that the game is not controlled by one team,” he added. “Back and front, back and front, and the rhythm is high. I knew about this and I was prepared for it.
“This is how the game is and you have to adapt your body to it.”
