Liverpool Set To Beat Arsenal For Impressive £36m Star Player

Leon Goretzka

Jurgen Klopp needs to take advantage of the upcoming January transfer window to reinforce his team, and Leon Goretzka is once again linked with a move to Liverpool.

Some days back, there were reports that the Merseyside club may even have an agreement with Leon and could seal his signature for something below £36million.

And according to new reports from Graeme Bailey, Liverpool and Arsenal are at the forefront in the race for the Germany international.

The versatile midfielder is currently out with an injury but has been able to play nine times in the Bundesliga this season so far, scoring an impressive four goals.

We should also remember that the talented 22-year-old played a big role helping his country win the Confederations Cup at Russia back in July.

And it was made known that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been working hard to bring the youngster to Anfield next year.

The Anfield club signed defender Matip from Schalke on a free transfer last year, while Arsene Wenger’s side also got Kolasinac for free from the German club this year.

Although both Liverpool and Arsenal are big clubs in the premier league, the Merseyside club seem to have an edge over the London club in the race for Leon. And this is simply because the player can play in the Champions League with Liverpool if he joins in January.
