Liverpool Set To Sign Superb Star Player Ahead Of Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp must take advantage of the upcoming January transfer window to reinforce his defense department if he is to win any trophy this term with Liverpool.

The German manager failed to land a centre-half during the past summer transfer window, and the implications are quite glaring this season.

Southampton star player Virgil van Dijk was very much linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer, but nothing could happen before the closure of the window.

However, as per the latest reports circulating in the media, a new player is in the limelight.

Daily Mail are reporting that Sevilla star player Clement Lenglet has caught the attention of a handful of top European clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona, and these three heavyweights have made inquiries for his signature.

The Frenchman participated in the recent 3-3 Champions League game against Liverpool, playing for 90 minutes.

The 22-year-old has not only impressed in the backside but also in the attacking third, as he has scored two goals for Sevilla in 12 top-flight games this term.

The report also added that the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the player, claiming there is a release clause of £28M in his current contract with Sevilla.

Liverpool fans will expect Jurgen to push to secure Clement’s signature to solve the defensive dilemma at Anfield.
