Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is adamant that his players are ready for the outstanding last period of the season after regaining momentum in the race for the Premier League title.

Klopp spoke about the Reds’ renewed interest in the Premier League title race during his pre-match thoughts ahead of the huge league clash with rivals Manchester United at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.

Liverpool slowed down in the title race as a result of successive draws against Leicester City and West Ham United but a thumping victory over Bournemouth in their last league game has filled the Liverpool faithfuls with the hope that they can end their long wait for a first Premier League title.

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at home by the Foxes before they recorded the same scoreline at the Olympic Stadium against the Hammers.

The Reds returned to winning ways with the 3-0 win over South Coast club Bournemouth at home.

They have the same no of points with leaders Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table but with an inferior goal difference.

Liverpool have played a game less than Manchester City.

That extra game is the league clash at rivals Manchester United on Sunday evening.
