Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho led Manchester United into their first ever Europa League final after moving over Spanish side Celta Vigo on Thursday.
Next is going back to premier league duties as they get set to play second-placed Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Man United’s hopes of ending among the top four on the premier League table was weakened following their lost to Arsenal last week.
The Old Trafford club can however have the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season if they can win Ajax in the Europa League final later this month.
So, it is expected that Man United boss should rest some of his key players in the game at Spurs – and the Portuguese manager as actually confirmed that he will be resting more than a few players against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
First choice goalkeeper David de Gea should return to the post, and though Ivorian star Eric Bailly won’t be able to play in the EL final after getting sent off against Celta Vigo, he is expected to start against Spurs.
Rashford is also expected to be rested while Wayne Rooney should be given a start.
