How Klopp Rues Disallowed Goal Against Arsenal

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left ruing the Sadio Mane goal that never was in the Reds’ Premier League meeting with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

With the scoreline still goalless, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane found the back of the net in the first half but the goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Jurgen Klopp talked about the incident during his post-match press conference.

When asked about the Sadio Mane goal, the former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 boss revealed that he thinks it was a goal.

The Gunners were fortunate to go into the halftime interval level with the disallowed goal incident despite the fact that they dominated the game.

The Reds started to seize some form of control after the interval and in one of their forays into the Arsenal box, they took the lead.

Liverpool midfielder and stand-in captain James Milner pounced on a moment of poor goalkeeping from Arsenal shot-stopper Bernd Leno to give his side the lead.

It was his 50th league goal of his football career.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette then secured a well-deserved draw for the hosts with a fine finish off an assist from Nigerian international Alex Iwobi.
