According to Kaveh Solhekol, FA Cup holders Chelsea are interested in a deal to land AS Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar.

Chelsea are in the transfer market to strengthen their team following a fifth-spot finish in the English Premier League log.

The Blues are facing the possibility of losing Belgium international playmaker Eden Hazard to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid this summer transfer window.

Thomas Lemar was very close to a move to North London side Arsenal last summer window but the France international forward rejected a switch to the Emirates Stadium after the French side agreed to a £92m transfer fee.

The exciting attacker was also frequently linked with Merseyside giants Liverpool but Thomas Lemar ultimately stayed back at the Ligue 1 side for another year.

Thomas Lemar netted two goals and created eight assists in 33 matches in the French Ligue 1 campaign to help Monaco seal the second place on the log.

La Liga side Atletico Madrid are also linked with a swoop to land the 22-year-old attacker with severe uncertainty surrounding striker Antoine Griezmann’s future.
