Liverpool have been a longtime admirer of Brazilian midfielder Talisca but the Reds are on the verge of losing the player to Serie A giant Roma in the summer.
According to reports from Turkish football via Fanatik, Roma have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign the impressive midfielder when his contract expires by the end of this campaign.
Since moving to Besiktas on a two-year loan deal from Benfica, Talisca has featured in 71 matches for the Portuguese league Champions, scoring 33 goals and 10 assists in the process.
Just as last season, the Brazilian has been in fine form as he has found the back of the net on 16 occasions while his assists stand at four after 38 round of matches.
Besiktas are also looking at the prospect of signing him on a permanent deal by the end of the season due to his impressive performance throughout the time he has spent in the club.
Though they have a chance of signing him permanently this summer, Benfica will be hoping to sell Talisca to European giants who would be ready to pay big on the player’s services.
Manchester United manager José Mourinho is also in the race for the midfielder. The Portuguese manager might see some of his best midfielders leave Old Trafford by the end of the season, he, therefore, believes Telisca will surely be a great addition to United’s midfield quality.
The Red Devils have reportedly set aside €40million which would be spent on the German international when the summer transfer window begins.
