According to reports, Jurgen Klopp will need to make a late decision if Sadio Mane will play on Saturday when his side clash with Southampton for their next premier league game at Anfield.
The Senegal international suffered a recurrence of an old hamstring injury last week while playing to help his country get a World Cup ticket to join the likes of Nigeria, Egypt, Morroco and Tunisia to represent Africa at Russia next year.
Earlier this season, the player was sidelined for up to a month due to injuries, but he returned to play for his side in their 4-1 thrashing of West Ham at the London Stadium.
And his German manager at Anfield Jurgen Klopp has confessed that he is ‘concerned’ by Sadio’s recent setback, but it was said that the African playmaker remains in contention to play this Saturday at Anfield.
It was made known that the Senegalese star is expected to train on Friday so he can make himself available for the clash with the Saints.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that club captain Jordan Henderson is fully back after recovering from the injury he sustained on his thigh.
Additionally, Klopp also received a boost with Adam Lallana who took to social media to declare himself ‘ready’ following an unpleasant injury he sustained about four months ago.
