German star player Leon Goretzka has been in the news recently due to his links with a handful of top clubs in England, and the 22-year-old has spoken out about the situation.
Leon has evolved into one of the best players playing in the Bundesliga, and his superb performances at Schalke has caught the attention of some top premier league sides including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Goretzka will be out of contract at the end of this season, and the possibilities of getting his signature for free is bringing more attention from different clubs.
Goretzka is regarded by many as the greatest young talent in the German top flight, and while his side are understood to be keen on keeping hold of him for the remainder of the season, some English clubs are said to be ready to pay Schalke for his signature when January comes.
But speaking recently about the links, the 22-year-old said he is trying to think deeply about what his next step will be and he needs to also consider ‘a million things’.
‘So I need time. The final decision will be made in January.’ he said.
The youngster will be allowed to begin talks with other clubs when January comes if he failed to put pen on paper for a new deal with Schalke.
