Emre Can’s future at Liverpool is not yet certain, and it is unlikely he will extend his stay at Anfield due to issues with wages
His contract expires at the end of this season, and Liverpool must sell him when January comes so they won’t lose him for less next summer.
After selling Emre in the winter transfer window, the Merseyside club should do all it takes to bring in Leon Goretzka from Schalke.
Goretzka has been linked with a move away from the German club for some time now, and the latest reports circulating in Spain suggest he is likely to leave.
According to Mundo Deportivo the Bundesliga club are set to sell the midfielder next January as they also do not want to lose him for free next summer when he will be out of contract.
It was also added that Liverpool are one of the clubs trying to get his signature, following reports on Monday that he rejected an offer from Barcelona in search of a move to the premier league.
The Germany international has scored four goals in 10 appearances in all competitions this term so far.
Mundo Deportivo also made it known that Schalke are ready to sign Victor Camarasa from Real Betis to replace Leon after they must have sold him in January.
