Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Kostas Manolas is prepared to have a £26million buyout clause included in his new deal. The Greece international defender’s current contract expires later in June 2019 and he is in serious talks over new contract terms.
Italian Serie A giant AS Roma want to keep the defender at the club after he was strongly linked with a transfer to Premier League Champions Chelsea or Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in the last summer.
But, as per Corriere dello Sport, kostas Manolas’ new deal will include a buyout clause of about £26million. That development will be a massive boost for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Zenit, who are still keen on the 26-year-old.
The Gunners, who are thought to be long-term admirers of the defender, could now also be lured to renew their interest.
Meanwhile, Premier League duo of Arsenal and Tottenham could battle in the winter for the signature of Paris Saint Germain star Adrien Rabiot – however, it is Serie A giant Inter Milan who are ahead of the race.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who claim the Italian Serie A club could rekindle their interest in Adrien Rabiot from three years ago to trump the two north London clubs.
