Real Madrid wide-man Gareth Bale has allegedly told his club’s board about completing the move of Tottenham Hotspurs star Dele Alli to replace Germany star Toni Kroos.
As reported by Don Balon, the former Tottenham star follows his old side closely and is a huge admirer of what Dele Alli could add to this Real Madrid squad after his memorable rise in the English Premier League.
The Spurs playmaker is widely seen as one of the best young talents in World football at the moment, and the news publication suggests Gareth Bale sees the England international as an ideal replacement for the underperforming German in Real Madrid’s midfield.
This would mean something of a role change for the Englishman, who has largely played in a more advanced position during his spell at Spurs, and occasionally on the flanks.
Still, the attacking midfielder has the ability to play the role and has been deployed in a deeper role in the past, while it does seem someone is required to come in and replace Kroos’ at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The German playmaker is one of a couple of Real Madrid stars currently struggling for form this season as the side seem far off retaining their Spanish La Liga title.
