Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight with the first leg advantage against Portuguese champions, FC Porto, as the Reds target their sixth title this season.

Klopp led five-time European champions Liverpool to a 2-0 win over FC Porto at home in what was the first leg of their Champions League last eight tie.

In his post-match reaction to the straightforward win, Klopp told reporters that he’s delighted with the first leg result before adding that he would have taken a 2-0 win before the first leg meeting at Anfield.

Liverpool took the lead through Naby Keita after just five minutes for his second goal in as many games.

The Guinean international had found the back of the net for the first time in a Liverpool shirt on Friday night when he helped the Reds to a 3-1 comeback win over Southampton in the Premier League.

Naby Keita scored one of the goals as Liverpool came from a goal down to beat the Saints and secure the Premier League summit.

Brazilian international Roberto Firmino added a second Liverpool goal in the 26th minute off a fantastic low cross from right-back Trent Alexandre-Arnold.

Liverpool would be hoping to preserve the 2-0 when both teams meet again for the second leg next week.
