Deal agreed and Medical planned for €30m-valued star to join Arsenal soon

Premier League giants Arsenal have already brought in three players, with Bernd Leno, Sokratis and Stephan Lichtsteiner, joining the North London club this summer window.

The fourth footballer who is thought to be joining them soon is Sampdoria star, Lucas Torreira. And as per reports in Football Italia, the €30million transfer deal should be sealed once the ongoing FIFA World Cup campaign of South American side Uruguay is over.

This development was confirmed by the Torreira’s father who said that talks between the teams went smoothly and the Sampdoria midfielder is schedule for Arsenal medical after the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The midfielder has been quite impressive for his South American side in the last couple of games and he was good against European Champions Portugal. In the last-16 as the midfielder helped silence Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and co. The Serie A star is now expected to repeat that feat against a star-studded and favourites France team.

Landing him will be seen by others as a major statement of serious intent that Arsenal are attempting to make, considering the poor end to last campaign. It is also important for the Gunners to get back into the UEFA Champions League very soon. Getting playing personnel with his calibre Torreira is sure to help them with that cause.
