Jose Mourinho: This Man United Target Made A Mistake Not Coming To Old Trafford

Renato Sanches

Manchester United Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho is of the opinion that United’s target Renato Sanches made a wrong move for moving to Bayern Munich, due to his lack of playing time at the German side.

The former Chelsea manager has highlighted Sanches’ lack of playing time at the Bundesliga giants as yet another example of big clubs who are neglecting to use their youngsters on a regular basis.

Mourinho had also drawn attentions to his former premier league club Chelsea, accusing the blues new Italian manager Antonio Conte, and stating that the duo of Kurt Zouma and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were barely being utilised under the former Juventus manager this season.

Mourinho explained that he intended signing Sanches, but due to his late appointment at the club last summer, Benfica quickly hijacked him and concluded a deal worth £27.5million for the midfielder.

He has started only five Bundesliga games this season for the Munich club, and the Portuguese tactician says he made the wrong move, insisting clubs should allow the young boys to play and perform.

Mourinho expressed that it’s all filled with contradictions, because the big teams wants to win always, and it is difficult to do so with the young boys who are still learning.

Making reference to the Portuguese youngster Renato who is an European champion, the manager stated that the last match he played for Bayern Munich was against Hoffenheim where they lost. With that, he expressed doubt about the possibilities of Munich’s manager using him in the Champions League quarter-finals.
