Jamie Redknapp heaps lots of praises on Cesc Fabregas following his brilliant attitude for Chelsea this term.

Jamie Redknapp has heaped numerous praise on Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas for the strong attitude he has shown at the Stamford Bridge club this season.

Fabregas has produced solid displays for his Chelsea side whenever called upon, despite that he keeps struggling to hold down a regular spot in the first team at the West London club.

The 29-year-old midfielder was handed a rare start for the blues at the 3-1 victory over Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday and the former Arsenal captain did not disappoint, as he scored the opener to help his Chelsea side on their way to victory.

The Spanish international has impressed whenever he was called upon by the Italian coach and has helped Chelsea establish themselves as strong favourites to win the title crown this season.

And Redknapp stated that Fabregas reminds him so much of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard with his style of play.

Redknapp writing in his column for The Daily Mail said he is so impressed with Cesc Fabregas’s attitude. He stated that though the Spaniard has been restricted to 20-minute cameos by Conte this season, he has made a big impact when called upon on so many occasions.

“When you are up against a stubborn side like Swansea, you need to keep the ball and be patient. Fabregas is the man to do that.

“He has never been blessed with pace but there are very few players who have his eye for a pass. I love how he arrives late in the box, too — on Saturday at Stamford Bridge it was like watching Frank Lampard in his pomp.

“Fabregas does not always get the credit he deserves but in terms of technical ability, he should be regarded as one of the Premier League’s greatest midfielders.”

As Chelsea play West Ham on Monday night, the former Barcelona player  will be hoping to feature for Antonio Conte’s side.
