Ivan Rakitic: How Chelsea Target Could Leave Barcelona Revealed
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic wants to leave the Spanish La Liga giants in the summer according to reports emanating from the Italian media.
He has been linked with a lot of major European clubs including West London giants Chelsea.
Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that the Croatian international star is unhappy with the club following the signing of highly rated Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong and the imminent arrival of talented midfielder Adrien Rabiot from French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
PSG star Adrien Rabiot has less than six months left on his current deal at Parc des Princes and he could join Barcelona who are favourites to sign him ahead of other interested clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Barcelona made a major coup earlier this year when they signed Frenkie De Jong in a multi-million pounds deal.
The 21-year-old Dutch international will join Barcelona at the end of this season.
De Jong could take the place of Ivan Rakitic who has been at the club since the summer of 2014 when he joined the club from fellow Spanish side Sevilla.
Italian Serie A club Inter Milan are leading the race to sign him according to the aforementioned publication.
