Danny Rose

Tottenham Hotspur have warned off Manchester United from signing Danny Rose amid serious speculation over his future, according to reports.

The 27-year-old launched a scathing attack on Spurs’ transfer inactivity this window and even hinted that he could fancy a move away from the White Hart Lane.

However, Rose has apologised for his comments in the explosive interview, and which was accepted by Mauricio Pochettino but that have not stopped speculation to continue over the Englishman’s future at the club.

United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on adding new faces to the Old Trafford as part of plans to bolster his ranks this season.

There were suggestions that the explosive comments by Rose was engined by Mourinho who is believed to be a long-term admirer of the defender’s abilities.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim that Tottenham Hotspur have told Manchester United that Rose is not for sale this summer despite interest from the English giants.

It is also understood that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is interested in signing Rose as he hopes to better his squad performances this season after seeing them lose their opening match to Burnley, in a game that saw Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill receive red cards at the Turf Moor.
