Philippe Coutinho is very likely to join Barcelona before the end of this month, and we expect Jurgen Klopp to sign a quality replacement if the samba star departs.
According to recent reports, Liverpool officials have made contact with French champions Monaco to get Thomas Lemar’s signature.
It was also made known that Lemar himself is interested in joining Liverpool, and we shouldn’t be surprised seeing the player at Anfield this month.
Since Thomas is a left-footed player who performs better on the left wing, how should Jurgen play him in his starting XI?
This term, since Mohamed Salah arrived Liverpool during the summer, Sadio Mane is the one playing mainly on the left wing while the Egyptian plays at the right.
And since Thomas cannot play in the central midfield (like Countiho), we expect manager Jurgen Klopp to introduce some adjustments in his formation, and should bring up something like a 4-2-3-1 system.
With the new system, Mane could be utilized in the secondary striker’s role.
When Lemar arrived Anfield and with the departure of Philippe Coutinho, we should expect a formation like this:
GK – Mignolet
DL – Andy Robertson (or Alberto Moreno)
DC – Virgil Van Dijk (or Klavan)
DC – Matip (or Lovren)
DR – Gomez (or Trent)
MC – Emre Can (or Hendo)
MC – Wijnaldum (or Milner)
AL – Thomas Lemar
AR – Mohamed Salah (or Adam Lallana)
FC – Sadio Mane
FC – Roberto Firmino
