Liverpool Set To Lose Star Player To Man United – Klopp Must Act Fast

According to reports circulating in Italy, Manchester United have taking some steps to sign Stefan De Vrij from Lazio

The talented player is in his fourth term at Lazio but has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times.

De Vrij has emerged as a target for some top clubs in England and is linked with a move to the English top flight next summer.

The 25-year-old centre-back is out of contract at the Stadio Olimpico next summer and it appears he won’t be putting pen on paper for a new deal that will extend his stay at the club.

Thus, a handful of top European clubs are set to fight for his signature next summer.

During the past summer transfer window, Liverpool made a £30 Million bid for the Netherlands international, but his club refused selling him. However, it is understood the Merseyside club are still interested in him and they remain keen on signing him.

But new report by metro made it known that Manchester United have stepped up interest in the defender as manager Jose Mourinho remains determined to bring in at least one defender next summer.

The Italian news outlet claimed Man United have made ‘serious enquiries’ about Stefan at the Stadio Olimpico. The red devils could get the player’s signature ahead of Liverpool next year – if nothing is done quickly.
