Young Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will miss the Three Lions of England’s campaign in the UEFA Nations League this summer after he underwent surgery on an Achilles injury.

The recently capped England international will miss the rest of this season as well as the UEFA Nations League after he sustained an Achilles injury earlier this week.

Callum Hudson-Odoi could even miss the start of next season with the injury which could rule him out for weeks.

England will face the Netherlands in the semifinals of the UEFA Nations League and Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to sit the game out as a result of the injury.

He sustained the injury during the first half of the last league game played at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were forced to a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley in their quest to seal a top-four spot that will guarantee Champions League football next season.

Hudson-Odoi got injured in the first of that game and he was replaced by Spanish international Pedro Rodriguez.

The injury is a big blow to Callum Hudson-Odoi who has been able to figure heavily for both club and country in recent weeks.

He has made 28 appearances for Chelsea this season though his first start in the league didn’t come until the 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month.
