Breakthrough! Gunners handed big boost in pursuit of United star

Arsenal seem to be having a breakthrough in their pursuit of Premier League defender Eric Bailly as he is seeing a lesser game at the Old Trafford under manager Jose Mourinho.

The former Villarreal star who joined United in 2016 has had just nine appearances under his best this season which makes him to be frustrated at the club.

The rivalry contest between Arsenal and United in the Premier League last week saw the Portuguese boss starting the star player but he seems not to be convinced again as he failed to deliver a victory in the game.

Emerging reports reveal that the North London side will be willing to hand him a way out of the Old Trafford with a lucrative offer in the winter transfer window which reopens in the coming weeks.

The Gunners are keen on more additions at the defence owing to the injury of England international Rob Holding who is likely to be out until the end of the season.

However, the North London side have missed out of the Champions League in the last two years and manager Unai Emery is keen to return the team after taking over from former French manager Arsene Wenger in the last summer.
