Guillem Balague has issued warnings to EPL giants Manchester United, insisting that the Old Trafford club are likely to face stiff competition from other top clubs if they want to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.
As new boss Jose Mourinho seeks bolstering his squad ahead of his second season at the club, Manchester United have been touted as a possible destination for the Frenchman in the summer transfer window.
However, there is yet to be any official confirmation of interest from United as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
Balague however believes that the Red Devils are indeed interested in signing the France international but feels that his next move is far from decided.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday afternoon, he said people shouldn’t think that Manchester United are the only team interested in the player.
“For a player like that, if he becomes available, there will be a big dispute.
“In the summer his representatives let Atletico know about offers from Manchester City and United – he said no.
“But his future is not linked to [Diego] Simeone.”
Already, it was reported some times ago that Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in getting his signature too. So, United should be set for a clash!
Mourinho and his men are currently preparing to take on Hull City in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, as they look to get back to winning ways in the top flight.
