Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is certain that the Reds would welcome the opportunity to re-sign former player Philippe Coutinho this summer.
Jamie Carragher talked about Barcelona midfielder Coutinho in a chat with the Liverpool Echo.
According to him, Liverpool will embrace the chance to sign the player if he’s available for the right price.
Philippe Coutinho was on the payroll at Liverpool before he signed for Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona in a controversial manner last year.
Liverpool reluctantly sold him to Barcelona for a transfer fee believed to be around £116m plus add-ons during the January transfer window in 2018.
Philippe Coutinho has struggled for form since the Barcelona transfer which made the third most expensive player behind the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
The Brazilian has spent 18 months at Barcelona but he has not been able to nail down a spot in the starting XI and his position at the club might be compounded by the imminent arrival of French World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann from fellow Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid.
Antoine Griezmann has already confirmed his imminent exit from Atletico Madrid amidst transfer rumours that Barcelona will pay his release clause and his transfer could further affect Coutinho and his quest for a regular spot at Barcelona.
