Arsenal legend, Gilberto Silva is set to return to the Emirates on Saturday, not for active football but to participate in the charity game where the club’s legend will face Real Madrid legends.
Expressing his delight, Gilberto says he can not wait to put on the Arsenal shirt again with the good old memories of the club.
The former Brazil international said goodbye to active football some three years ago, but the legendary game is one worth partaking in because of the host stadium, Emirates.
Speaking with Arsenal Player, the decent but combative midfielder said the Emirates Stadium is home and feels good to be back.
He said he enjoys still being connected with Arsenal despite the fact that many things have changed with some old faces like famous Arsene Wenger, no more at the club.
The opportunity to see ex-teammates and to catch fun with them is such a great feeling for the Brazilian.
He said he missed his old friends and also the early morning walk-in group to the training session was memorable.
The Brazilian was an important part of the Arsenal team in his time, under former manager, Arsene Wenger.
Other Arsenal legends are also expected to be seen in the match.
