According to reports, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is hindering Scott McTominay from leaving Old Trafford on loan in January.

Scott is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects at Man United and signed his first professional deal with the red devils about four years back.

The talented player has been with the Old Trafford club since age five, and he earned his first-team debut at the club last term, playing against Arsenal and Crystal Palace.

This season so far, the 20-year-old has made four appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side and has been impressive even with his limited opportunities.

Considering how talented he is, the youngster is expected to make a loan move in the upcoming winter transfer window, and he has been linked with the likes of Rangers and some other Championship sides.

However, the Daily Mirror made it known that his Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho has blocked his move as he wants him to remain with him at Old Trafford.

It is understood that Mourinho wants the player to continue his development under his own guidance at Man United, and that he is a fan of the talented midfielder.

French midfielder Paul Pogba was shown the red card during the win over Arsenal on Saturday evening, and McTominay will hope to earn more playing time before Pogba returns.
