Gary Lineker Reacts To Chelsea’s 3-1 Victory Over Swansea on Twitter

Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to voiced out his own opinions about  Chelsea’s title bid

Ex Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react to Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over opponent Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

The West London club were facing a Swansea side in good form after a return of three wins in their last four top-flight matches under new manager Paul Clement. Paul Clement was once an assistant coach at the Stamford Bridge club.

Chelsea Italian coach Antonio Conte opted to start with Spanish star player Cesc Fabregas for the home match, and the Spain international successfully got on the score sheet with a close-range finish in the 19th minute of the first half.

But Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente – who was a former target for Chelsea – equalised for the Swans on the stroke of half-time with a powerful header to threaten to derail Chelsea’s afternoon.

However, Pedro continued his excellent goal-scoring form with a low strike which sneaked past under Swansea goalie Lukasz Fabianski with 18 minutes remaining for Spaniard star Diego Costa sealed three points.

Antonio Conte’s side moved 11 points clear of second-placed Manchester City, thanks to their victory against the Swans at Stamford Bridge.

And Match Of The Day host Gary Lineker took to Twitter to react to the blues close-fought win.

“Chelsea go 11 points clear at the top of the @premierleague”

“It’s official, mathematically Leicester cannot retain the @premierleague title.”—
