Stefan De Vrij set to snub Chelsea and seal Manchester United move

According to the Express, Manchester United have reportedly been the most favorite to sign Serie A defender Stefan De Vrij.

Manchester United who defeated Southampton on Sunday to lift the 2017 EFL Cup at Wembley Stadium have been strongly linked with a move to sign the Netherlands International defender.

Stefan De Vrij has been fielded 30 times for his country Holland, so far he has scored one goal and assisted once in 19 appearances in all competition for Lazio this season.

The 25-year-old defender who began his senior career with Feyenoord before joining Lazio in 2014 will be out of contract next summer and according to reports, he has rejected an extension of his contract with Stadio Olimpico.

Official reports claim that the Italian club are ready to offload the defender to Old Trafford for a reported fee around £30m.

Premier League club and league leader Chelsea have also shown interest in the Lazio man, but Stefan De Vrij made it clear he would prefer a move to Old Trafford.
