Fulham Table Another Bid For Liverpool Striker

Premier League strugglers Fulham are plotting a big money move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

The Daily Mail say that the Cottagers are ready to spend as much as £15m on Belgian international attacker Origi in the quest to sign the 23-year-old in this January transfer window.

Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri wants to strengthen his squad in the current transfer market as he plots an escape route for the West Londoners in the Premier League relegation battle.

It was revealed that Fulham want to strengthen their squad in five areas including the central striking position.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the Cottagers’ first choice striker but he has been able to find the back of the net just once in the last eight games and Divock Origi could add more firepower to the Fulham squad.

Fellow newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in a move for Origi who has been on the fringes of the Reds team this season since he returned to the club from a loan spell at German Bundesliga club VFL Wolfsburg at the start of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would want to lose another attacker following the sale of Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth last week.
