According to reports, Chelsea are set to discuss transfer with Tottenham Hotspurs over a switch for Spaniard Fernando Llorente.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was keen to sign Llorente during the last summer transfer window but a telephone call from manager Mauricio Pochettino on transfer deadline day convinced the Spain international to join Tottenham.
The tactician is looking to land a support for Summer signing Alvaro Morata this winter and it’s thought Chelsea have contacted West Ham United over a transfer for Andy Carroll.
As reported by The Independent, though, Antonio Conte has not lost hope of signing Llorente and is urging the Blues return for the forward.
Chelsea’s boss feels the striker has the kind of experience to help Alvaro Morata through the tough period he is currently experiencing.
The record signing, who had a flamboyant start to life at Stamford Bridge, is without a single goal in his last six matches for the League champions.
The Spurs striker mentored the Chelsea striker during their spell together at Serie A side Juventus and the duo scored a combined 24 goals in the 2014/15 season.
Belgian Michy Batshuayi is seeking a loan transfer away from the Bridge in search of regular first-team football after reportedly falling out of favour under Antonio Conte.
