Julian Draxler

According to reports in France, Premier League giant Arsenal have asked for the availability of Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Julian Draxler.

The 23-year-old, found the back of the net 10 times in 25 matches in his first season for Paris Saint-Germain, after signing from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in January, but the attacker is already being strongly linked with a transfer move away from the French Ligue 1 runner up before the summer transfer window closes on Thursday.

It’s believed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the German FIFA World Cup winner, but the North London club have contacted him over a possible transfer.

As per Le 10 Sport, the Gunners have approached ‘in the last few hours,’ with Arsenal weighing up a £32million bid for Draxler.

The attacker’s agent Roger Wittmann was at Anfield Stadium last week as the Reds stormed to a 4-2 win over Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, with Liverpool also thought to be considering a transfer for the midfielder.

Liverpool are scouring the transfer market for Brazilian Philippe Coutinho’s replacement as FC Barcelona remain sure of signing the Liverpool star.

Reports in Germany also indicate that German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are also showing a keen interest in the attacking midfielder.
