Why Arsenal fans need not worry ahead of Liverpool clash

Arsenal fans have got reasons to smile again ahead of the team’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at the weekend.

Manager Unai Emery has been forced to make some gamble in his selections in the last two games by playing midfielder Granit Xhaka in the left fullback position and that has made the defence more unstable.

The 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace which ended Arsenal’s winning run was attributed to the fact that Xhaka was not in his original position as he committed one of the fouls that led to the penalty.

All of these have been as a result of the absence of Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac who have been injured which was a major concern ahead of the Liverpool clash at the Emirates Stadium.

However, a report from James Benge of the London Evening Standard says both players could be available for the encounter as they near complete fitness.

The return of the duo is expected to bring a level of stability to the Arsenal defence and also help to return Xhaka to his midfield position where he has made more impact this season.

A win for Arsenal will have Liverpool see their first defeat of the season in the Premier League while otherwise will have the North London’s 12 games unbeaten run come to an end.
