English premier League outfit Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reported to have identified Spanish La Liga outfit Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi as the player whom he feels can solve the club’s defensive problems.
The Spanish boss is therefore reported to have met the management to ensure his signature before the end of this January winter transfer window.
The North London outfit’s bid to ensure a top four finish so as to qualify for next season’s Champions League is now being threatened with the number of injuries in the team.
Right full-back Hector Bellerin recently joined Rob Holdings on the sideline while Laurent Koscienly is still yet to recover from his long-term injury as he is struggling with match fitness.
However, the former PSG boss made it clear that he still needs additions in the defence and Aissa Mandi could just be the answer which is the reason for why he is keen to land him.
Aissa Mandi is a versatile defender who van play in a number of roles at the back. He could be available for the Gunners at £26 million but from indications, he would not be allowed to leave the Spanish side until the end of the season.
