AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko has agreed to seal a transfer to Premier League Champions Chelsea this January transfer window, as per a report emanating from Italy.

Manager Antonio Conte is keen on bringing in a deputy striker to support summer signing Alvaro Morata for the remaining months of the ongoing 2017/18 season and a lot of strikers have been strongly linked with the West London club recently.

The Blues have expressed interest in England international trio of Andy Carroll, Jamie Vardy and Peter Crouch but it’s thought the Chelsea are closing in on a transfer deal for Ex-Manchester City striker Dzeko.

Reports claim the striker has agreed to a deal with the Blues and said ‘yes’ to Antonio Conte over a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s men are also reportedly interested in signing Edin Dzeko’s team-mate at the Serie A club, Emerson Palmieri, and negotiations over a double transfer will resume next week.

It’s thought that Roma are asking for a combined transfer fee of about £44million from the Blues for the pair.

Out-of-favour Belgium international striker Michy Batshuayi could seal a loan switch to the opposite route.

Questioned about speculations linking the striker with the Blues, the striker’s agent Irfan Redzepagic said he does not know anything about the deal.
